First-person shooter “Battlefield 3”: sadism to animals?
Just logged onto my daily alternative news website and this was one headline that caught my eye. The proposal has been put forward by PETA Germany. This quote is translated using google so yeah, it’s a terrible translation but you get the gist.;

I don’t know what to say in response to this. PETA are picking up a very fine detail in the game, ignoring that fact that during the course of these shooters you also kill hundreds of people, so why pick up on killing a rat? Remember the uproar about MW2 and the airport scene? That was probably going to brutalize the ‘young male audience’ more then stabbing an attacking rat in the head.
Not to mention the attack dogs in Black Ops, I didn’t see PETA starting a picketline about killing mans best friend, yet they explode when a video game character kills a disease carrying rat…..
